This change was part of my work on 'associative iterators' for 1.42. See changesets 57156, 57242, 57337 and ticket 3473 for more information. I did not explicitly document this change as the type was only referenced once in the documentation (support.qbk/category_of) and the related page was pretty much out of date anyway. I also thought BOOST_FUSION_ADAPT_x was the only hands-on method to define custom fusion types as the documentation on extending fusion manually was/is quite outdated as well.
