How do i convert PS to TIFF?

Hi guys,

maybe someone can help me out here.  In the project i'm currently working on
i need to be able to fax a .ps
I've been told it's possible to convert a .ps to a .tif so you can fax it.
Now my problem is, how do i do this?  I have tried to use ghostscript but it
doesn't seem to work.  Maybe this is a stupid question, but i really don't
know anymore what to try.
If anyone has an idea, please let me know,
