hi Folks, I'm trying to find a forum for general GS command-line questions. I'm running on OS 10.2.6, and have generally had good experiences with GS. However... I have a two PDF with a couple of gradients. I am appending the documents together with: %gs -q -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -dCompatibilityLevel=1.4 -sOutputFile=merged.pdf file1.pdf file2.pdf I was using AFPL GS 7.33 beta, but the PDFs would come out of this process with something changed. The filesize went down substantially, and in Acrobat I get a lot of white lines across the gradient. However, the file prints just fine. ANYway, at the suggestion of Leonard Rosenthal, a great PDF wizard, I downgraded to GNU GS 7.07. The install process went fine, BUT I still get the same white lines across my gradient, AND I now get errors "Invalid Colorspace" when I try to open these documents after running them through 7.07. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this? Is there a better list to post to? Thanks, michael geary ----------------------------------------------- michael geary The Treeline Group, Inc. 560 S.
