Sorry I don't see how to build and test the gslib with autoconf.  If you
maintain the ability to build a libary and test it with gslib.c then we
won't have great difficulties when the next major gs release comes out.

I was under the impression that testing gslib was part of the regression
suite, could be wrong but it would be nice for it to be so.
