Ralph,

While these look like useful fixes, they haven't had independent
regression test and compatibility tests against 8.12. Let's just
get 8.13 out with the minimal risk.

Had these patches come in prior to the 8.12 release, we would
have held them up for post 8.12, so I think we should apply the
same guidelines now.

Any customer or user that trips over these issues can apply the
patch.

BTW, when is 8.13 going to be ready ??? (customers are waiting).
