Generating "line-layout.png" from "line-layout.eps" requires _convert_(1), but
this generation is necessary only from repo builds.

Ideally, we'd have an Autoconf macro to abstract a macro "CONVERT" and which
interpolates "convert" or "gm covert" as needed.  That way the build would
fail in the configuration phase due to missing dependencies instead of much
later.
