Thanks for pointing that out; I clearly don't know troff history in
sufficient depth.

Regardless, we can hopefully agree that Plan 9 troff was written and
worked on by people from Bell Labs, which was the crux of my argument.

Also, I kindly request that you Cc me in your responses in the future.
I am not subscribed to groff@gnu and wouldn't even notice you had
responded had I not randomly checked the mailing list's archives.
I forgot to mention this fact when posting.
