Res: how to design AOP by using UML?

Hi Suoju,

As Joerg said, you should have a look at all editions of the AOM
workshop. Last year I made a survey about AOM approaches and I found
interesting approaches on there.

Researches who have been working on AOM approaches basically have two
alternatives: first, using the heavyweight mechanism to extend the UML
language; and second, using the lightweight extension mechanisn which
don't affect the UML metamodel, i.e., only uses the UML profile
mechanism. By the way, I experimented the Joerg's approach, which is
based on the UML profile mechanism.

I also recommend the following survey made by the AOSD Europe community and published in 2005:

that is held twice a year.
