The UML standard is really just a notation. Yet, tools that use a 
subset of the UML in the context of code generation have concrete 
semantics.
AO extensions depend on which subset of the standard you are using and 
how you interpret UML models. 

I only know of four tools that implement a subset of the standard and 
have precise semantics. These tools target different application 
domains.

- Rhapsody: embedded and real-time systems
- Rose RT: embedded and RT
- IBM Rational: "enterprise" computing
- Telelogic TAU: distributed, real-time systems (telecoms)

The AO language extensions and compilers/interpreters for these 
different domains might be quite different because the tools use 
different subsets of the UML and interpret the models differently.

We implemented an AO language extension and compiler for Telelogic 
TAU, for telecom applications under development at Motorola. The 
semantics of the TAU UML tools are based on the SDL language.

I don't know of any AO extensions for the other tools.
