C++, SQL programmer needed in Hudson County, NJ

Our Client Company, located in Hudson County New Jersey, is a one of the World's Leading online marketplaces for fixed securities and derivatives.  They are looking for a team player to fill a Jr. C++ Developer position.

Description of position:  Junior-level developer, most time spent hands-on coding with medium supervision, working as part of a one person team which is expected to grow.

Skills:

Required:
An ability to work as part of a small team with technical guidance from manager.
A minimum of 3 years C++ experience in a Microsoft Windows development environment, utilizing object oriented programming techniques.  Visual C++ is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of database design and development utilizing SQL and relational database techniques.  Microsoft SQL Server is preferred.

Experience with concurrent programming in a multi-thread environment is preferred.
Good communication skills.

Pluses:
Experience with Python and Perl
Software development experience in the trading, brokerage, or financial services industries.
Core Competencies:
Technical skills; results focused; team oriented; communication skills

Background:

Front end and server application development.  3+ years hands-on development in large-scale, transactional based, mission critical environment, fixed income/finance/trading a plus but not necessary.

Responsibilities/accountabilities:

Deliver high-quality applications, multiple releases, responsible for own unit testing.
