About BU/Product=20

Search & Advertising Technology group is responsible for providing solution=
s to advertisers and publishers for all aspects of advertisements like plan=
ning tools, inventory mgmt, forecasting, campaign management, optimizations=
, reporting etc. with several billion transactions happening every day.=20

APG team is responsible for keeping Yahoo! ahead of the curve by creating a=
 roadmap, architecting, and developing next generation of highly scalable, =
flexible, and highly available distributed systems.=20

Job Responsibilities/The Role/The Job=20

As a team member you will have an opportunity of work on not one but many o=
f these systems as well as work with various cross-functional teams to part=
icipate in entire life-cycle of the product.=20

You should have an experience and ability to evaluate different technologie=
s and architectural/design options and understand as well as articulate dir=
ect and indirect impacts on integration of system, inter-operability, migra=
tion of users, as well as scalability, flexibility and maintainability of t=
he systems.=20

Minimum Job Qualifications=20

=95 Strong experience in building highly scalable systems in C/C++ or Java =
on Unix=20
=95 Strong in at least one Perl/Python scripting language=20
=95 Experience with Databases, data mining, and storage systems=20
=95 Experience with building distributed, low cost, highly scalable, and hi=
ghly available enterprise server systems=20
=95 Excellent debugging and testing skills=20
=95 Excellent analytical and problem solving skills=20
=95 Fast learner - can quickly come up to speed with different technologies=
 and develop prototypes if required=20
=95 Must have strong verbal and written communication skills=20
=95 Excellent team player with strong collaboration skills to work with var=
ious cross functional teams on multi-team projects=20
=95 Must have strong knowledge and keen interest in emerging tools and tech=
nologies in the industry=20

Preferable Job Qualifications=20

=95 MS in Comp Science with 6+ years or Ph.D. in Comp Science with 3+ years=
 of relevant industry experience=20
