Job Description:


OBJECTIVES:

1. Embedded Application Developer who is responsible for the design and dev=
elopment of quality software components, including:
a.Execution of commitments and providing status of deliverables.
b.Providing status of issues and recommendations for possible solutions.
c.Developing software component unit tests with max/min boundary coverage.
d.Assisting Software Quality Assurance Team in the development and implemen=
tation of a detailed testing strategy and structured release process to inc=
rease the quality of team deliverables.

2. Embedded Application Developer that can build and maintain a good relati=
onship with the project team, including: the Software Manager, Software Tea=
m Leaders, Software Team, Software Quality Assurance, Engineering Services,=
 Program Management, Project Management, and key customers. In working with=
 the project team, the Embedded Application Developer should be able to:
a. Identify dependencies and deliverables needed to work efficiently with t=
he other parts of the system.
b. Investigate technical road blocks by analyzing product requirements and =
collaborating with the Product Management Team to provide technical feasibi=
lity versus their customer inputs and acceptance testing criteria.
c. Rapidly prototype ideas and concepts. Ability to synthesize requirements=
, create concepts, lead design decision-making, and keep customer focus at =
the forefront of the decision making process.
d. Work closely with internal co-development and outsourced sub-teams to ma=
ximize skills and efficiencies.

TECHNICAL ABILITIES:

* 3 =96 8+ years experience in professional software development.
* BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
* Strong Math background is a plus.
* Strong C Programming skills with related coursework. Java and JNI is a pl=
us.
* Ability to debug desktop software as well as embedded software.
* Good understanding and experience in application software design and deve=
lopment in both an embedded and desktop environment (Windows and Mac). Cros=
s =96 platform development experience a plus.
* Experience developing Graphical User Interfaces with Android GUI framewor=
k/app development experience
* Good understanding on how to write unit tests.
* Experience using Bugzilla, Software Version Control System, Lauterbach, V=
isual Studio.
* Ability to assess risks/tradeoffs, and make timely decisions.
* Experience with Android OS is a plus.
* Experience in the Education market is a plus.

* Must be able to communicate well with strong technical engineers, custome=
r representatives (for requirements), and management.
* Excellent teaming and collaboration skills for working in a cross functio=
nal team environment.
* Good inter-personal skills are vital.

* Should be self disciplined, highly motivated, and driven to results.
