Call for papers: Workshop on Behaviour Modelling

The 5th Annual Workshop on Behaviour Modelling - Foundations and 
Applications (BM-FA 2013)**
***Montpellier, France, July 2, 2013 [co-located with ECMFA, ECOOP and 
ECSA 2013*, July 1 - 5 2013] ***

The growing variety of distributed and collaborative services require 
the integration of software components that interact at run time in 
accordance with contracts and service level agreements both within and 
across organizational boundaries. Designing the complex dynamics and of 
these systems requires that software engineers use sophisticated 
approaches to modelling and validating system interaction protocols. The 
capabilities offered by The Cloud to host large data volumes are 
enabling business intelligence applications and analysis non-functional 
requirements that may require new thinking about behaviour and service 
modelling.

These trends require suitable semantics for the composition and 
combination of behavioural models and modelling techniques so that the 
various models used to describe the behaviour of a complex system can be 
put together.

The goal of the BM-FA workshop is to make contributions in the area of 
software and systems behaviour modelling to help address the demands of 
today's systems and applications requirements. For this purpose the 
workshop brings together people from academia and industry that 
interested in:

    Semantics and application area of different behaviour modelling
    techniques;
  *
    Meta modelling of behavioural semantics;
  *
    Approaches to the definition of behavioural interfaces and contracts;
  *
    Direct execution of, and code generation from, behavioural models;
  *
    Application of behaviour modelling for functional requirements
  *
    Behaviour modelling and non-functional requirements
  *
    Usability results of different modelling techniques;
  *
    Lessons learned from case studies that involve behaviour modelling;
  *
    Composition and decomposition of behavioural models;
  *
    Combination of different behaviour modelling approaches;
  *
    Application of formal reasoning to behavioural models;
  *
    Compositional approaches, whereby multiple partial models of
    behaviour are combined;
  *
    Prospects and challenges in behaviour modelling.

We invite papers of a _minimum 4 to a maximum 12 pages_ in ACM format 
(see: http://www.acm.org/publications/gi-proceedings for templates). The 
proceedings will be published in the ACM Digital Library.
