Services/Bounded contexts are *logical entities*. A single service/BC could potentially be deployed over several *physical entities*. Respectively, a single physical entity (e.g. server) could have components from several services deployed to it. So if the shipping backend is temporarily down (Although it shouldn't really happen in a system with the scale of Amazon), it doesn't necessarily means that the shipping ui component is down as well, because it could be deployed on a different machine. So while all of the UI code (both of branding, shipping, billing, inventory etc) could potentially be deployed to the same physical server, each component still logically belongs to it's own (again, logical) service. "Do you think that the amazon.com consumer facing ordering page is part of such a branding service ?" Yes, Amazon are employing UI composition on their website.
