DDD Distilled vs DDD: Definitions and Pattern Summaries

is the latter only a quick reference book? if I were buying people who have
decent development experience a book which would I want? bonus question,
is there a book or document aimed squarely at people who have zero
development experience? like those business people who need to supply
domain experts but don't get why we DDD people want them? or people like
those middle dev managers that really don't get why as not senior
developers they should not be the only person in a requirements gathering
session (or even worse having those sessions simply handed to them by an
analyst).
