Execs don't work harder...Really?? Nearly every programmer here is usually gone by 5:00 (we work 7:00 to 4:30 or 3:30 on every other Friday). The CIO and the CFO are here when I come at 6:30 and are here when I leave at 5:30. The president works 7 days a week. I know the popular Dilbert carton is the execs come at 10:00 have a nice lunch and leave at 2:00, not here or any industrial place I've been...maybe in those dot com shops. Yes coders work extensive hours, but any VP worth her salt works 24-7 in a "real" company where compensation and earnings per share are tied to the title. Nice try though.
