Yes. As an example, imagine a manager who wrote all the things he needed to work
on on cards. He prioritized, estimated, and scheduled as much work as he had
accomplished in the previous week. He let everyone know what he was working on
and what he was not working on. He stopped when he had worked as many hours as
he was willing to commit to the business, secure in the knowledge that his
available time was spent on the most important possible things.

Such a manager might find himself more effective, better organized, and in a
position to sustain his work and his life in the balance he chose.
