I forgot to mention this:  If all you're interested in is schedule,
then it doesn't matter that BCWP and BCWS are given in dollars.  You
could just as well use Story Points Scheduled, and Story Points
Completed, and calculate the schedule performance index as SPI =
SPC/SPS.  How much stuff did we actually complete, compared to how
much we scheduled to complete?  In the SPI calculation taken in
isolation, story points are exactly as meaningful as "dollars," and
they indicate exactly the same quantities.
