I hoped to understand ways to present XP/Agile to the business folks that will give them enough confidence to move forward. I wanted to understand how to make them comfortable enough to introduce XP/Agile into their environments.

I saw my role as a well-written advocate for XP with XP experience who would identify and correct misconceptions about XP as a step toward creating a positive environment for XP in the business community.

Unfortunately, I don't feel that this is happening on this list. Instead, I fear that this list will degenerate into a bunch of business folks telling each other why XP is so bad, risky, ridiculous, whatever. I fear that they will create yet another barrier between themselves and the programmers, because as a programmer, I do not feel welcome to bring my experience to this list.

Bill: point blank, do you want programmers here or not? If not, we'll leave.
