Some companies are more value driven than budget driven. In the commercial software companies for which I work and have worked, it is acceptable (but sometimes uncomfortable) to be late and over budget, but never to fail to provide revenue-delivering value. Likewise, some companies are time-to-market/value delivery driven. Here, it is acceptable to be over budget if we can get a release faster. Arien ------------------------ Yahoo!
