Well here I go again, number three in my agile management theme.

LEADERSHIP and MANAGEMENT - is NOT about decision makeing or Control, is it?

the threads I started were actually, geared towards finding out peoples views on Agile management and what peopel see leaders and managers doing to support and help agile development teams.

My purpose was to see how many people actually came up with what I term the real value of these roles are, and that is the ability to ENABLE people to do work, by whatever means necessary. At the moment I feel the threads I started are focusing more on control issues than those of enabling teams/people/management/etc... to do thier jobs to thier best/optimum.

Agile methods are a great way of achieving work/goals but only if the people involved are enabled to do so.

I am very happy as to the incredible level of participation on these lists incidently.

so now here is the core of the new thread, should managers manage, control, make decisions for the team or enable the team/staff to do so themselves, and if so ...
