In the "old days" before agile manifesto was published, we paired when
we had problems just as a form of "confidential review", we can call it
today "pair on request" that may be an entry point strategy: you can
pair if you want to pair, you can work alone if you don't want to pair
but you may change your decision if you want as you may request to pair
to solve a specific problem or just to experiment pairing.
