It doesn't surprise me to stop pairing as a habit once we notice the benefits coming from other practices, but it genuinely surprises me that "good coding disciplines" should correlate with "having social conversations about design". Do you have an idea why that might be happening or why that might be so in general? I would consider them largely orthogonal to each other. -- J. B.
