During the hiring process, the company made it quite clear that Extreme= Programming, including Pair Programming and the other practices was mandat= ory. 2. In the team's room, there are half as many machines as developers. "You= work it out." says the boss.=C2=A0 (And you're kind of strongly expected t= o do "pair programming" of some kind. And if people quit, an appropriate nu= mber of machines will be removed.) Actually...=C2=A0 It worked quite well. The teams were enabled and empowered to change the process as they saw fit= .=C2=A0 ... within "reasonable" bounds. Some did kanban boards.=C2=A0 Some did big visible charts.=C2=A0 Some had = timers to signal pair switching.
