There's no flaw in the logic. But it should be
presented as the inevitable conclusion to all the
other arguments you've presented in the chapter. "They
do, as, of course, they should." If the rest of the
chapter is strong, then the reader will be thinking
"Duh" rather than "Who does he think he is?"
