And here we are, having moved a few months ago from 3 dedicated machines
(dev/test/acceptance servers) in our dev street to 3 virtual machines
running together on one machine that's less powerful than either of the 3
old ones taken alone.

Workstations will hopefully get replaced next year, but might be delayed
until 2012 or later.
And when that happens will no doubt again be run of the mill office
machines no different from that used by our sales staff or the CEOs
secretary.
