Nice Idea, but that would only work if the port communications are on independent processes and don't need to go to the same server. I was thinkin of yousing an old "Layer 2-7 Switch Module for IBM eServer BladeCenter" witch I replaced a year back on or primary webcluster. The problem I am haveing with the config is that the Enterprise pool requires 12 ports but the SLB only allows for 8. I was intending to do a non port loadbalancing but I am haveing prolems configuring the box for that. ************************************* The ports I need are: TCP 5060, TCP 5061, TCP 5065, TCP 5069, TCP 5071, TCP 5072, TCP 5073, TCP 5074, TCP 8404, TCP 135, TCP 443 and TCP 444. ************************************* Now the current config I have is: /c/l3/if 1 ena addr 10.1.2.200 mask 255.255.255.0 broad 10.1.2.255 /c/l3/gw 1 ena addr 10.1.2.254 /c/slb/adv mnet 10.1.2.0 mmask 255.255.255.0 /c/slb/real 1 ena rip 10.1.2.41 weight 10 /c/slb/real 2 ena rip 10.1.2.42 weight 10 /c/slb/group 1 health icmp add 1 add 2 /c/slb/port INT8 server ena /c/slb/port INT9 server ena /c/slb/port EXT1 client ena server ena intersw ena /c/slb/virt 1 ena vip 10.1.2.50 layr3 ena /c/slb/virt 1/service 5060 group 1 pbind clientip /c/slb/filt 1 ena action allow vlan any /c/slb/port EXT1 filt ena add 1 ************************************* The problem I cant seem to get past is that even if I do "layr3 ena" I still have to assign the "group 1" inside a virt 1/service (5060). I have confirme the SLB is functioning on the specified port 5060. Is there any way to do this without ports?, Just a straigt IP loadbalancing without any ports assigned?
