Re: Raw socket based load balancing

Layer 4 SLB  would NAT the destination IP and ports. If that proprietary
protocol carries IP address then it can have problems.
Alteon has Redirect filters(no nat)  that  will work exactly the way you
wanted. No need for a virtual IP address. There is no natting involved and
still they are load balanced to real servers configured in that group.
