 Thankyou for your thoughts. I am still reading them, but I will have to
continue reading later.
 I just wanted to ask, before posting a reply to the forum - what part of
NASA did you work in. I worked for AWA Defence Industries where I wrote a
configuration management system in 1988/9. The contact with the NASA/DOD wa=
y
of designing and building a missile profoundly affected my view of software=

development. And I was already out on a limb.

 Regarding your and my individual, personal ideas on the software process,
they most likely should be aired, and AM threads are an appropriate place t=
o
air them. It is a very intellectually open place form what I can see.
