 Oh god, IDEs are not the end all and be all of the
world but they do help in allot of situations. Emacs
is an IDE for christs sake.

 I would hazard a guess that color-blind coders are in
the vast minority, no offense intended.

 This is such bullsh**. For java work I generally use
eclipse, if a site doesnt have it I just install it.
For C/C++ I use emacs, once again if a site doesnt
have it I install it.
