When I was teaching Business Decision Making, the definitions I used were:
Certainty: All outcomes are known
Risk: Insufficient information for certainty but enough information to
calculate probabilities of alternative outcomes occuring.
Uncertainty: Impossible to gauge probability of alternative outcomes
occuring.
