Thanks for clarifying this picture. Workflow versus what is being called 
"value chain" is a parts versus whole issue. We traditionally call this 
"market value." Computerized feedback demonstrates its holistic nature. 
Nonetheless, it is an old fashion bookkeeping problem.

You have create a pure and simple image. The problem is one of a relation 
between workflow value versus market value, which as a traditional 
bookkeeping problem, is the separation of debits, as a measure of workflow 
efficiency, versus credit, as a measure of marketflow value. I will be 
amazed to learn of a meaningful solution that resolves the issues and 
avoids using a traditional double entry bookkeeping framework.
