It is not rocket science to comprehend that cycle time is derived from 
calculating a set of takt times that make up an actual cycle. What is being 
measured is a sequence of physically real operations in an experiential 
application. In bookkeeping we measure the parts and express the sum of the 
parts as meaningful information in that context of measurement.

I'm saddened that this does not please you, for it prevents you from 
knowing things that are extremely important in the culture for which you 
write software.
