The question here is what change you are suggesting, and I'm still not quite sure I understand. It seem you are suggesting we use XUL instead of the Anygui API. That's a bit like using PostgreSQL instead of the Python DB API. It doesn't make sense, which is why I am confused. Creating a XUL engine that uses Anygui would be fine, of course. Perhaps what you are suggesting is that we create an engine that uses the Anygui back-ends without the Python API? In that case people who want to access Anygui from Python would have to generate XUL code instead of simply calling methods... Given my current understanding of the situation (which I am more than happy to revise, mind you) I think adding a XUL component/parser/thingy to Anygui is fine. Other than that, I'm not sure what you would like us to do.
