Now my philosophy cookie.

If someone does not have time/patience/skills/desire/ to explain his position
about a technical issue through sound technical
arguments or at least to try, he should just keep his beliefs for himselfs.
Whether he is an expert, has studied the issue for long time and all the
trade-offs or he is just in an honey-moon phase with a technology or a zealot,
it does not matter, talking down to people and brochureware arguments sound
simply incompetent and arrogant to technical ears.

So far the thing you have clearly managed to communicate is your fondness for
XUL.
[On the technical side: being able to reify a XUL GUI description would be a
nice add-on feature for anygui, but it is kind
of an orthogonal issue, although the goal of allowing that without too much
pain can have influcence on the kind of functionality that anygui API should
offer]

Whatever, nobody should over-identify with software technology they use or
produce,
or act as the walking essence of such software.

The essence of most software is supposed to be more shallow than most human
beings. <wink>

PS: this was a good reminder also to myself et al.
