iow, if the main maintainers e.g. of wx become the maintainers of the wx
backend this thing could work, but otherwise simply moving a project will not
create maintainers by magic ...

at the moment we don't even have a fixed api

All the actual target toolkits seem really too many,

0 or 1 are too few ...

I think we should pick 2/3 toolkit and try to get feature-complete 0.2 backends
for them.

If we cannot even do that then ...
