How active is development?

        Hi!

I'm about to start a project in Python (a jabber client) using
curses. A friend told me about anygui and it seemed very interesting. My
main goal is to have a curses client, but it'd be great if it could be run
with different guis.

However, the curses gui on anygui is much cruder than what I had in
mind (think Perl Curses::Widgets, which is what the project originally
used). Anyway, I was all set to write a curses widgets module for python,
but maybe I could improve anygui's curses one (or perhaps write a different
anygui backend for more complex curses).

But, of course, that depends on how active anygui development is. I
saw the notice on http://anygui.sf.net about Magnus's PhD, but I have no
idea when it's due, or if he intends to keep developing anygui when he's
done, or even if there are other developers. Also, the latest message
archived for this list dates from August.

        So, how's anygui doing? :)

Please Cc: me as I haven't (yet) joined the list.

        Thanks,

I am pleased to see that we have differences. May we together become
greater than the sum of both of us.
