There are loads of scientific tools out there which use bits of Biopython, even just for small tasks like FASTA parsing. e.g. This search on Github finds quite a few things (and likely false positives too): https://github.com/search?l=Text&q=biopython+requirements&type=Code In terms of well-known or high impact, that's harder to gauge.
