Forwarding this to the list for a public record, thank you Andreas for your agreement. Note I had a copy-paste error below, these are some of his contributions - not just Bio.SubsMat, but many for Bio.GenBank, and others more general: https://github.com/biopython/biopython/commit/f6f7c167006dbb7e55180a542838cbb019e25ec7 https://github.com/biopython/biopython/commit/d8f287b108129aa58442bb6722826a76415f4bd4 https://github.com/biopython/biopython/commit/ade8039411341728bf4bd4dc20b4f5d9433c8f82 https://github.com/biopython/biopython/commit/7ef4150e46ed5f98f02a35add877b1923a6b652b https://github.com/biopython/biopython/commit/e8d39996f9efe972551b362ce0ecead4f6854bf6 https://github.com/biopython/biopython/commit/57101bc6f1cafbfa4a1a2806443a2a8a4ad2ca07 https://github.com/biopython/biopython/commit/1f09c7a97f054f0bee746b2f573fc375a47a11a2 https://github.com/biopython/biopython/commit/0266361aa9d8750f13182c4ee94c60407b0397e7 Regards, Peter ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Andreas Kuntzagk <[email protected]> Date: Wed, Sep 26, 2018 at 7:38 AM Subject: AW: Biopython Contributions To: Peter Cock <[email protected]> Cc: [email protected] <[email protected]> Hi Peter, this is correct, I'm the same person. (As far as I know I'm the only one in the world with this name.) I totally forgot that I did some contributions to Biopython back then. The code is still in there? Can you please use my private email address [email protected] for further communication and for the contributor list? (The address @bayer.com is only used by me for some work related communication. ) The @mdc-berlin.de address was my former job. Regarding the licensing question: Yes, I agree to the dual licensing. You can forward that to the mailing list. Regards, Andreas Kuntzagk -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: Peter Cock [mailto:[email protected]] Gesendet: Dienstag, 25. September 2018 17:42 An: Andreas Kuntzagk Betreff: Fwd: Biopython Contributions Dear Andreas, I found your email address via GitHub: https://github.com/kuntzagk Are you the same Andreas Kuntzagk who made contributions to the open source project Biopython back in 2002, 2003? Their original email address [email protected] no longer works, and I am hoping to get in touch (see below). Thank you, Peter ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Peter Cock <[email protected]> Date: Tue, Sep 25, 2018 at 4:24 PM Subject: Biopython Contributions To: Andreas Kuntzagk <[email protected]> Cc: Peter Cock <[email protected]> Dear Andreas, Back in 2002, 2003 you made some contributions to Biopython, mainly under Bio.SubsMat, https://github.com/biopython/biopython/commit/a0980d53c1b9b87eb690bfd207790fdad695d599 Since then, we have started an effort to dual license the code under both the "Biopython License Agreement" (a unique license) and the "BSD 3-Clause License" (a widely used mainstream open source license). To that end, we are asking all our contributors to publicly agree to dual license their contributions - either on this GitHub issue, or an email on our public mailing list: https://github.com/biopython/biopython/issues/898 Would you agree to this too please? Rather than asking you to sign up to our subscriber only mailing list, I would ask your permission to forward any agreement to the list as a public record. Many thanks, Peter -- Dr Peter Cock, Current de-factor Biopython project leader. Bioinformatician at the James Hutton Institute, UK. _______________________________________________ Biopython mailing list - [email protected] http://mailman.open-bio.org/mailman/listinfo/biopython
