psycopg 1.1.8 is out and fixes the following problems:
* sequences of bound variables not working with python 2.3
(this bug was introduced by dict optimizations in 1.1.6)
* configure should work with port of postgresql under BSD
* .connect() was not thread-safe (PQconnectdb is not, sadly)
so now connections are done without unlocking the GIL.
