Thanx - I'm trying to do just that but I'm having a bad time trying to get the eGenix mx extensions to 
build. No luck so far so I can't build pypgsql either... :-( I'm using the urllib2 client HTTPS 
connection for a secure credit card processor that talks to Authorize.net. HTTPS is only available in 
the 2.3 alpha version of python. So far everything else supports it but my pyphsql stuff. 
Unfortunately that's kinda an important point...
