Installation problem on WinXP...

I'm trying to run pysqlite-2.3.3.win32-py2.4.exe to
install pysqlite on WinXP.  However, the installer is
giving me an error message saying "The instruction at
xxx referenced memory at xxx.  The memory could not be
read". 

Could this be caused by an access rights problem? 
I've tried downloading the installer a second time,
but I get the same message when trying the
installation again.
