Dear Trond, Thanks for the detailed, if somewhat intimidating, post on instructions. One question though: My problem is that neither the ifort I am using nor gfortran accept the -arch flag, which is generated by f2py or distutils for the Fortran compilation command. What Fortran compiler are you using and does it accept - arch? Does your f2py put a -arch flag on the f77 and f90 compile commands? And suppose I woud like to stick with the MacPython distribution, to make things simpler for users of my code, who will want an easy way to install Python on their macs?
