Re: glGenVertexArrays producing 'invalid enumerant' error.

Enabling error checking did not change that particular failure.

Are you suggesting that that machine may not have glBindVertexArray? That's
a core function and the driver reports itself as 3.3.0 via glxinfo and lets
me acquire a core 3.3 context via pyopengl glut.
