Here is my output on OSX 10.9.1 (Mavericks) using:

Python 2.7.6 (default, Nov 23 2013, 22:18:00)
[GCC 4.2.1 Compatible Apple LLVM 5.0 (clang-500.2.79)] on darwin

and pygame 1.9.1release
