Cool, thank you!  I'll turn this into an example in the Optik examples/
directory.  Might even write some docs if I find the time (yeah, right).

PS. I quite agree that it should be up to the application to setup
gettext at runtime.  I even think that it should be up to the
application to install optik.mo, because it might really be optparse.mo,
and I don't plan on putting the Optik message files in Python's source
tree.  (Mainly because there's no existing tradition of distributing
internationalized modules with Python, so no conventions or
infrastructure for doing so.)
