I'm not sure why either.  But we do need to know and document which
recent pillow versions work and which don't, at the time when we ship.
 We found this bug just doing 'pip install pillow'.

The other interesting wrinkle here is that Python 3.4.0 is due out
later this month.   Ho hum.  Massive testathon coming.  The rest of
ReportLab is pretty busy for two weeks on more mundance deliveries,
but we'll roll our sleeves up and join in the fun then.
