Well, I found that option under Frame's properties -- thanks for the info.

However, I thought the separate icon is missing because of a bug or some incompatibility on my system, since the icon still shows up in the manual for 0.9.6 :)
(local url end path is something like .../wxGlade-0.9.6/docs/html/intro.html#running-wxglade)

I was not able to reproduce this in a quick manner, so maybe previously I unchecked by mistake the statusbar existence (?) and didn't noticed that. No rush anyway.
