wxPython3 and wxPython4 (Phoenix)

Is it possible for wxPython3 and wxPython4 to coexist in a single Linux distro? The creator of my distro replied on the forum about why wxPython4 is not available in the repos: wxPython 4 is not in the repo because there is nothing that depends on it. wxPython 4 requires a different python sip package which may break existing wxPython 3 and apps that depend on wxPython 3. wxPython 4 requires a special private sip library to be built. # wxPython upstream uses a private sip module, wx.siplib, and bundles the # siplib code. It's not possible to build this siplib because the source code # for sipgen is not included. In summary wxPython 4 is a time consuming PITA to manufacture packages based on it at this time. I don't know how to tell you to build and install it.
