HELP: Producing brochures

Howdy all.  Producing quality, common Zope marketing material, in 
multiple languages is one of the primary goals for Zope Europe.  We 
produced a brochure for the Zope pavilion two weeks ago that is a small 
first step.

However, getting the words into a usable format remains a challenge.  
Right now you must have Illustrator and some other tools, and we can't 
use the material in HTML.  Thus, this is one of those rare cases where 
*programming* is the solution to a marketing problem. :^)

I'd like to author the product data sheet, brochure, etc. in a neutral 
format such as XML, then produce quality HTML and PDF from that input.  
I want it to be easier to manage multiple version of the documents, 
such as translations.

I've done quite a bit of investigation with XSLT, XSL-FO, and some with 
ReportLab.  But since the details of the layout are non-trivial, I'm 
not close to knowing enough to replace Illustrator.
